With the annual Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure” happening in Little Rock on October 10, DataPath associates decided to join in on the fundraising efforts. In addition to having a company race day team, employees were invited to participate in a chili cook-off and bake sale, and purchase tickets for a parking spot raffle to raise additional funds.
On Monday, October 5, there were ten entries in the chili cook-off, and dozens of baked goodies, including cookies, cupcakes, and crispy rice treats, among others, for sale.
All employees were invited to the free chili sampling and were asked to vote for their favorite(s) with their dollar bills. Desserts were sold separately. Judging by the empty Crock-Pots and full bellies, the event was a resounding success.
To date, the combined effort has raised nearly $400 for Susan G. Komen’s breast cancer awareness campaign. This wouldn’t have been possible without the great cooks and bakers, and appetites, from DataPath and DataPath Administrative Services.
