DataPath, Inc. is seeking a Customer-Focused and Accuracy-Driven Customer Service Representative to join our employee benefits division, specializing in pre-tax benefit account administration.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in supporting participants by responding to inquiries via phone and email and providing expert guidance on benefit plans such as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and other pre-tax offerings. This role requires a confident communicator with a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
You will be processing and ensuring claims are handled accurately and efficiently, contributing to a smooth and complaint-benefit experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of customer service and claims-related tasks, including:
- Customer Support: Respond to incoming calls and emails from participants with professionalism and empathy.
- Benefits Expertise: Provide clear and accurate information regarding benefit plan details, eligibility, contribution limits, and qualified expenses.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, denied claims, and participant concerns; escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Claims Entry: Accurately enter and process reimbursement claims for FSAs, HSAs, and other benefit accounts in accordance with plan guidelines and IRS regulations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service within benefits administration, healthcare, or insurance environments
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to analyze data to identify patterns, errors, or potential fraud
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in navigating standard office software, cloud-based platforms, and client support systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Capable of retaining training information and asking insightful follow-up questions to enhance comprehension.
- Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred:
- College coursework or degree in business, healthcare, or a related field
- Working knowledge of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), COBRA, and other pre-tax benefit plans
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and IRS regulations related to benefit accounts
