As an official member of the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC), DataPath sent three representatives to ECFC’s Annual Conference on March 16-18. Jason Jersey, Candy Darr, and Mat Miller enjoyed a fulfilling week of discussions and presentations on tax-advantaged benefit programs. They also made the most of their opportunity to meet with Arkansas’ elected representatives.
One of the conference’s featured events allowed attendees from all over the nation to visit Capitol Hill in order to meet and discuss flexible compensation with their states’ elected leaders. The DataPath team discussed at length the company’s stances and concerns regarding current and future legislation, the ‘Cadillac Tax’, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with Arkansas Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton, and Congressman French Hill. The DataPath team was pleased that the Congressional leaders took the time to meet with them face-to-face and provide an attentive audience.
DataPath’s core business model is centered on developing software solutions to administer employee-sponsored benefits, so the company has a keen interest in making its voice heard by our state’s and nation’s highest elected officials.
As an active member of ECFC, and with DataPath President and CEO John Robbins, Jr. serving on the board, DataPath supports the Council’s fight against the Cadillac Tax, which will have a negative impact on American workers and their families. We hope the nation’s elected officials will continue their support of consumer directed healthcare plans, which have proven to be one of the most effective ways to curb rising healthcare costs.
DataPath’s team made the most of this year’s conference and thanks Senators Boozman and Cotton and Congressman Hill, and their respective staffs, for their time.
